MEDICAL DIRECTOR:

Ashok K. Patel, M.D.

Dr. Patel is a board-certified psychiatrist who is the Medical Director of BioBehavioral Health. Dr. Patel is also attending psychiatrist at Community Medical Center, Toms River, NJ. He is the Principal Investigator for all clinical trials done at BioBehavioral Health. He has over 20 years experience working with clinical trials. Dr. Patel received his doctorate at Cornell University Medical College.

Joan Barrett, APN

Ms. Barrett received her RN and B.A. from Rutgers University and is certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse with prescriptive privileges since 1994. She is currently working as a sub-investigator with clinical trials at BioBehavioral Health.

Judith M. Kern, APN

Ms. Kern received her B.S.N. from Stockton State College and her Master’s Degree from Trenton State College. She is currently working as a sub-investigator with clinical trials as well as treating patients at BioBehavioral Health.

Walid Elsharkawi

Mr. Elsharkawi graduated from medical school at the University of Alexandria, Egypt. After moving to the United States in 2005, he is currently working toward his medical license in the USA. Mr. Elsharkawi is currently employed at BioBehavioral Health as a sub-investigator with clinical trials.

Ms. Ambroziak received her RN from East Orange General Hospital School of Nursing.

Krista A. Figular, RN

Ms. Figular received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Delaware.

Patricia Romano, RN, CCRC

Ms. Romano received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Bayonne Hospital School of Nursing.
